Violet M Opheikens Obituary

Violet M. Opheikens, 96, returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on December 3, 2021, in North Ogden, Utah.  She was born April 11, 1925, to loving parents Alma Oram and Blanch Hunsaker in Honeyville, Utah.

Violet fell in love and married the love of her life Albert Opheikens on June 1, 1946, in Ogden, Utah. They were later sealed in the Ogden LDS Temple. She was a faithful member of the LDS faith and was a visiting teacher for many years. 

She enjoyed going to the WSU gym with her son Orluff. She made many lifelong friendships which she cherished (Jenny & Taylor Wilson) and many others. Violet was a wonderful mom and grandma and helped raise many of her grandchildren who loved her dearly.

Violet is survived by her daughter Sheryl Bodily (Jed)sons; Orluff, (Judy)Jerry (Kathy)and Bert, (Linda)14 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Albert and grandson Monte Irick.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah, with a viewing prior to services from 10:00 – 10:40 a.m.

The family would like to thank sweet and caring nurse Gabby and the staff at The Lodge in North Ogden, (Kelly Flint) (Mary Rae), hospice caregiver Tami Buckway.
