Margaret (Peggy) L. Nawn (nee Locilento), age 81, of Upper Darby, PA, passed away on December 3, 2021. Bom in Philadelphia, PA, she was the beloved wife of the late John H. Nawn and the daughter of the late John A. Locilento and the late Jeanette V. Locilento (nee Veneziano).

Peggy was a 1957 graduate of West Catholic Girls High School. She received her Bachelor of Arts in 1986 Villanova University and her Master of Science in Library Science in 1990 from Villanova University.

Peggy was employed as the Librarian at Westbrook Park Elementary School until her retirement in 2007.  She previously taught elementary school for many years at Holy Cross School in Springfield, PA and St. Laurence School in Upper Darby, PA. 

Peggy was active as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Laurence Church and was a proud member of the Sons and Daughters of Italy in Ocean City, MD.

She particularly enjoyed spending time with family in Fenwick Island, DE and was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed being a school librarian and reading stories to children.

Peggy was the loving mother of John A. Nawn (Barbara), Joseph A. Nawn (Mary) and Matthew W. Nawn (Elizabeth). Dear grandmother of John E. Nawn, M.D. (Mary Kate), JuliAna Nawn (Partner Jeff Dreyer), Joanna (Partner Scott Palmer), Joseph H. (Partner Becky Rajkumar), William, Jeanette and Robert Nawn and Matthew, Andrew and Megan Nawn. Great-grandmother of Augustine, Ambrose, Dominic, Agnes and Lucy Nawn. She was predeceased by her sister, Joanne Locilento.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Friday, December 10, 2021 9:30-10:50 AM at St. Laurence Lower Church, 8245 West Chester Pike, Upper Darby, PA and to her Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
