At that time, Norma Jean, her father and younger sister moved in with her grandmother on the family farm in Warren, Utah. She spent her childhood working on the farm. Norma Jean attended the first six grades in Warren, then Junior High in Plain City and graduated from Weber High School in 1945.

Norma Jean married her junior high sweetheart, Roy John Maw in the Salt Lake Temple on May 10, 1946. They have lived their entire married life in Plain City. They were married over 70 years.

Norma Jean retired as a teacher’s aide from Weber County School District. Her church callings included Relief Society President, Primary President, MIA Secretary and teacher in each of those organizations.
