Martin Lowell Grabeal Obituary

Martin Lowell Grabeal was born on October 15, 1934 in Boise City, OK to Elmer and Jessie Roselee (Bassett) Grabeal.  Martin graduated from Plainview High School where he played basketball and baseball.  He played baseball on the American Legion Baseball Team where he was able to travel all over Oklahoma. He worked as a roughneck for a short period of time.  Martin married Bonnie Cobb on July 19, 1958 in Guymon, OK. They worked side by side on the farm until retirement and health concerns. He enjoyed his cattle and loved to fly. His girls worked alongside them on the farm, custom harvesting, working cattle, raised quarter horses and palominos. They all loved the sport of basketball, one of his happiest times were when his girls were in high school playing basketball and all their activities. He and Beth enjoyed working cattle with their horses. He enjoyed his pheasant, quail, and Yorkie puppies, especially “B.B.”.  They all enjoyed going to the sale barn to sell cattle, and if you sold the cattle, you bought the steaks for dinner. He would say that the best thing that ever happened to him was Bonnie, and the second was his girls. He later enjoyed his grandchildren and all of their activities. He and Bonnie were a team in the girls’ decisions and on the farm. Martin looked forward to trips to Red River, NM and camping at Gravel Pits Lake in Cimarron Canyon, NM with his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
