<p>MANTUA</p> <p>Anne Louise (de Bruyne) Stachowski,&nbsp; 98 years of age, &nbsp;passed away peacefully Friday, December 3, 2021, at UH- Portage Medical Center in Ravenna, Ohio.&nbsp; Anne was born in Middelburg, Holland on July 6, 1923, the daughter of the late Pieter and Anna (vaIperen) deBruyne.&nbsp; Her family escaped to England at the start of WWII and she served in the Dutch Navy, transporting troops in Jakarta.&nbsp; She married John Stachowski and immigrated to Canada in 1951.&nbsp; They later moved to the United States, settling in Mantua, Ohio, in 1959.</p> <p>Anne loved all animals, and she was instrumental in teaching her sons, Anthony, Peter and Jim, the values and work ethic necessary to manage livestock and farm life.&nbsp; She was immensely proud of the accomplishments her sons have had in the Alpaca and Arabian horse industries.&nbsp; She is survived by her sons:&nbsp; Anthony (Mary), Peter (Cyndi) and Jim (Shawn).&nbsp; Grandchildren:&nbsp;<br /> Ashton, Ava, and Jimmy Jr.&nbsp; She was preceded&nbsp; in death by her brother Pieter de Bruyne Jr., &nbsp;and husband John Stachowski. No calling hours or services. A Memorial Celebration will be held Wednesday, December 8, 2021 from 5:00 P.M.-9: 00 P.M. at the Mantua Corners &amp; Event center, 11845 St. Rt. 44, Mantua, Ohio 44255. Arrangements are by the Green Family Funeral Home &amp; Crematory Service in Mantua, where condolences and memories may be viewed at www.greenfamilyfuneralhome.com.</p>

MANTUA
