Obituary

Duquette, Lynn Edward (April 24, 1946 – December 3, 2021) Peacefully, with his family by his side, at the North Bay Regional Health Centre after a short battle with cancer, we sadly said goodbye to our best friend.

Dearly loved and missed by his wife of 55 years Margaret (Blay). Lynn was the dear and proud father of Deborah (Ray), Layne (Christine), Lonnie (Kristine) and Larry. Proud and loving grandfather to Carly (Jamie), Shelby (Jeff), Jared and Mercedes. He was the doting great Poppa Lynn to Jack and Ella. Born the youngest of eight children, he is survived by brothers Delbert (Pat), Vernon (Gloria) and sister Donna (Ken).

Predeceased by brothers Clem, Rene, Marcel and Gene.

Lynn was an avid outdoorsman, who spent many enjoyable years at his beloved hunt camp. At an early age he developed a passion for anything motorized. He worked tirelessly on an antique car and antique tractor which he amazingly succeeded to get running.  The last 30 years of his working career were spent as a heavy duty mechanic at Champion/Volvo road machinery in North Bay.

Special thanks to Dr. Jinnah and all the compassionate nurses on C3 who kept Lynn comfortable and pain free. You are all angels.

A funeral mass for Lynn will be at the Pro Cathedral of the Assumption on Saturday December 11th, 2021 at 11 am.

Donations to North Bay Regional Health Centre in memory of Lynn will be gratefully acknowledged.

Please note that Covid-19 protocols and wearing of masks and physical distancing are required.
