James Michael Roth Obituary

James Michael Roth passed away on December 4, 2021 at the age of 86.  He was born in Baton Rouge on February 5, 1935.  “Jim” is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Myrtle Millet Roth; his daughter, Pamela Roth Goodner and husband, Mark Alan Goodner; his grandchildren, Benjamin Alan Goodner and wife, Rebecca Ford Goodner, Margaret Elizabeth Goodner, and Caroline Roth Goodner; his great grandchildren, Michael Alan Goodner, William Ford Goodner, and Caroline Elizabeth Goodner; his sisters, Rita McKee and husband, Robert McKee, Rosemary Lawless, and Bernice Roth; and his sister-in-law, Carolyn Millet Valentine and husband, Leo Valentine.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Louis Boissac Roth and Agnes Greely Roth; brother, Louis Roth Jr.; and sisters, Eunice Persick and Sally Delatte. Jim was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, a devout Catholic, an Army veteran, an avid LSU sports fan and he will be dearly missed by all who love him.  Visitation will take place at St Patrick Catholic Church on Thursday December 9, 2021 from 10am until mass at 11am.  Interment will follow at St. George.
