Jacob Ralph Hendricks, II, 75, of Hagerstown, MD, passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Meritus Medical Center. Born June 17, 1946 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Jacob Ralph Hendricks and Pauline Louise (Lake) Hendricks. He was predeceased by brother, Charles Parks (Evelyn) and sister, Faye Parks Ritzmann (Robert). He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Terrie Anne (Hess) Hendricks, his son, Andrew William Hendricks, and grandchildren, Lilley, Brody and Lincoln Hendricks. He is also survived by his niece, Paula Pennell (Donald), nephew, Richard Parks (Lois), niece, Julia Parks Stadelmeir, and predeceased by niece, Faye Parks Webb. Jacob was a 1964 graduate of North Hagerstown High School, a 1971 graduate of Hagerstown Jr. College, and a 1973 graduate of Shepherd University, Shepherdstown, West Virginia, with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Mathematics. He enlisted in the United States Army from March 1967 to March 1970, and served in the Vietnam War as an Airframe Repairman for the 177th Aviation Company. He was employed by the Federal Government in the IRS as a Revenue Agent, then retired from Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA. Jacob’s lifelong interests included a passion for Civil War history, relic hunting, hiking and antiquing. He was an active member of the South Mountain Relic and Coin Club. All services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to John R. Marsh Cancer Center, 11110 Medical Campus Rd, Ste 129, Hagerstown, MD 21742; or to the Humane Society of Washington County, 13011 Maugansville Rd, Hagerstown, MD 21740.
