On Saturday, December 4, 2021, Bob Kerr, loving husband, father of seven children and grandfather of many, passed away at age 87. Bob was born on June 01, 1934 in Ada, OK to Robert and Josie (Watson) Kerr. Bob graduated from Hinton High School in 1952. Growing up in the Depression ere he had to learn to work at a very young age. He became a police officer in the 70’s and worked in law enforcement for nearly 40 years; retiring from the Jones Police Department and then 20 years doing security work. On June 26, 1953 he married Alpha Jean (Killian) Kerr. They raised 1 son, Bobby Kerr and 2 daughters, Pamela Kerr and Beth Rose until Alpha Jean’s passing in 1978. On August 31, 1982 in Gainsville, TX he married Vickie Ann Dean Kerr. They raised 3 sons, Charles Leppla, Jeffery Trude, and Joshua Kerr and one daughter, Alicia Dunn. Bob had a passion for gardening. He loved the outdoors. He loved fishing and playing golf; along with playing dominoes. He also loved to build things and was always building stuff. He lived an extraordinary life, and loved helping people. He would give you the shirt off his back. He will always be remembered by his infectious smile and loving & caring heart. Bob was preceded in death by his father, Robert; his mother, Josie; first wife, Alpha Jean; 5 brothers; and 1 sister. He is survived by his wife Vickie Kerr of Jones, OK and their children, Charles Leppla and his girlfriend Kayla Snow of Jones, OK; Jeffery Trude and his wife Alexis of Jones, OK; Alicia Dunn and her husband Donnie of Choctaw, OK; Joshua Kerr and his girlfriend Diamon Milo of Jones, OK; Bobby Kerr and his wife Kathy of Hinton, OK; daughter, Beth Rose and her husband Darrell of Bridgeport, OK; daughter, Pamela Kerr of Bridgeport, OK; numerous grandchildren and family. Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Barnes Friederich Funeral home, 1820 S. Douglas Blvd., Midwest City, OK, at 2:00 pm.
