Juanita Pearl Cannizzo

Juanita Pearl Cannizzo (Lake), 92, of Frederick passed away on January 28, 2017. She was the loving wife of Joseph Cannizzo for 71 years. Born September 24, 1924 in Cleveland, West Virginia to the late Nimrod and Mintie Boggs Lake. Juanita worked at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, doing weights and measurements for experimental aircraft. Then worked at the Naval Aviation Experimental Center in the Aircraft Simulation Department in Atlantic City, New Jersey. She retired from the Civil Service in 1975. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons; Michael Joe Cannizzo (Barbara) of Steamboat Springs, CO and Kenneth Craig Cannizz0 (Dale) of Sykesville, MD. Grandchildren; Eric Steven Cannizzo, Regina Marie Edwards, Michele Lynn Cannizzo, Donna Marie Hoffmann, and Karin Lynn Cannizzo. Great-grandchildren; Melanie Gray Hoffmann, Nathan Michael Hoffmann, Taylor Elaine Edwards, Ethan Denzler Edwards, and Colin Craig Edwards. Brother; John Lake (Odetta). Sister-in-laws; Hildred Lake, Sharon Lake, and Santa Colangelo. And numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 1st from 11-12 PM with a service beginning at noon with Pastor Tim Shatzee officiating at the Historical Chapel at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Highway, Frederick.
