Henning J. Spilling IV – age 29 of Oak Ridge, formerly of Pigeon Forge and Florida - passed away December 2, 2021. Henning was first and foremost a loving husband to Mandi and a very proud father to his two young children, Henning V (7) and Freya (3). Henning could most often be found playing with his kids, whether having bubble-machine and slip-and-slide fun in the yard, playing Barbies for hours on end with Freya, or sleeping in a bunkbed with little Henning V. He loved the outdoors and would frequently take his family to the river. He had a keen interest in history and collected historical artifacts. The family fondly nicknamed him “Henn-Bone-Dude-Man”, which somehow also stuck with his son Henning V. Henning’s brother Camron put it best: Henning was simply the best person ever; he was there for everyone, a brother to everyone, and would give you the shirt off his back. No words can truly capture the amazing person who was taken from his family and friends far too soon. All who knew Henning, even for a moment, could sense how genuinely kind, compassionate, loving, and happy he was. His spirit will live on in all who knew him. Henning was preceded in death by his mother, Maryiah Spilling and aunts Seasun and Katie Carter. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Amanda (Mandi) Spilling; son, Henning Spilling V, and daughter, Freya Spilling; father, Henning J. Spilling III (Daddio); brothers, Camron Spilling and George Sunderland; grandparents, Leighlove (Grammy) and Henning J. Spilling Jr. (Bestefar); niece Maryiah Spilling; aunt Erika Drouin (Tante); and many aunts, uncles, cousins, his great grandmother and so many more loved ones A celebration of Henning’s life is being planned, and a memorial fund for Henning’s wife and children has been set up for those interested in donating – Henning J.
