William Francis Pindell Sr. was born at home in Bowie, Maryland on February 25, 1952 to Rachel Barnes and John Pindell. Born premature, many would never know he was born with a heart condition. He lived his 69 years on his terms, and without apology. He was a gifted ambidextrous artist, and spent many hours sketching before he became fascinated with cars. He was a lover of the Chi-Lites, Stylistics, and the 70’s R & B sound. He loved the nightlife. He knew how to say “No”, but would give you the shirt off his back. He frequented racing and wrestling competitions. He loved “rich food”, and many have benefited from his cooking skills.

He graduated from Croom Vocational HS as a fully certified Auto Mechanic. An accident, while under a vehicle, caused a change in career to road construction. He worked all aspects, from paving to heavy machine operations and crew leader. Until his vision faltered, he rose early and worked every day in support of his family. He suffered a stroke, and spent his last 6 years as a resident of Manor Care Nursing and Care Facility in Hyattsville, MD.

He never married, however, he was father to four children: Latraile Michelle, William Francis Jr., Donte Edward (deceased), and Robert Frances Pindell. William Sr. had 2 sisters; Dorothy and Madeline; 2 brothers, Charles (deceased) and Paul (tirelessly devoted). Additionally, he leaves 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and a host of family and friends to cherish his memory.
