<p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>William Roy Neely, age 85, died Thursday, November 18, 2021&nbsp;at his home in La Vale, MD, with family by his side.&nbsp;<br /> He was born August 12, 1936, in Newburg, WV to Opal Jane and Allison Roy Neely, both of whom are deceased. One sister, Joann Bjorkman, preceded him in death . Married to the former Hester Alice Mason for 62 years, they are the parents of three children: Lori Neely, Winchester, VA; Leslie Patterson (Richard} Brooktondale, NY; and Jeffrey Neely, LaVale, MD. They also have two grandchildren: Tristan lntemann, Brooktondale, NY, and Aidan lntemann, Los Angeles, CA.&nbsp;<br /> Extended family includes Janice (Robert) Bates, Wilmington, NC; Brian Bjorkman, Warm Springs, VA; Helen Louise Bjorkman, Arthurdale, WV; and Kim Riley, Reedsville, WV.&nbsp;<br /> A graduate of West Virginia University after serving in the Marine Corps, he retired following 30 years of service with Kelly Springfield Tire Company in Cumberland, MD. He was a 5O-year member of the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite of Free Masonry, Kemp Lodge, Mount Savage, MD.<br /> Always busy, Bill was an avid do-it-yourselfer and adept at home renovations. A quiet man, he opened his heart and his home to neighbors and relatives who needed assistance, some for years at a time.&nbsp;<br /> The family wishes to thank the medical and nursing staff of 7 South and the Hospice Department of UPMC Western Maryland for their care and devotion.&nbsp;<br /> Private services were conducted by Chaplain Dennis Lusin on Sunday, November 21, 2021. </strong></span></p> <p><span style="font-size:18px;"><strong>Interment in Morgan Memorial Park.&nbsp;<br /> Morgan Funeral Home is honored to serve the Neely family.</strong></span></p>
