The peaceful passing of Ellen D. (Munn) McKeown occurred on December 2, 2021 at home surrounded by love. She was the daughter of the late Joey and Tressa Munn.

Ellen was strong in her faith and attended Grand Bay Baptist Church for years. At home, she loved to care for her family and more by cooking, baking and knitting. She loved her family and was a proud Nanny Ellen. She also enjoyed a good game of Yahtzee or word search as well as a drive that included an ice cream.

She is survived by her sons, Warden (Marieanne), Bill (Sherry), and Frank; daughters, Cidy (Crystal) and Patsy (Jamie); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Ada (Milton); daughters-in-law, Cathy, Lorna, Brenda, Susan and Susan; close cousin, Gertie, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 67 years, Robert McKeown; her sons, Percy and Danny; her grandchildren, Joey, Christin; great grandchildren, Alex and Scarlet; her grandson-in-law, Jody; her brothers, Percy, Burton, Edwin, Warden, Clarence and Hedley; her sisters, Viola and Florence; as well as daughter-in-law, Holly.

Arrangements are entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (506-646-2424).  In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, no visitation or funeral will be held.  There will be a family graveside service held at Astle Cemetery in the Spring of 2022. For those who wish, memorial donations in her memory to the charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
