BETTY JOAN HENRY HOWARD COX FUNERAL HOME BASTROP, LOUISIANA Private graveside funeral services for Betty Joan Henry Howard “Mimi” were held Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Christ Church Cemetery. She was born January 22, 1930 in Maumelle, Arkansas to the late Paul Kruger and Mary (Walderns) Henry. Betty passed away on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at her residence in Cumming, GA following a brief illness. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harry Gene Howard; a brother, Paul; and three sisters, Mary Jean, Maxine and Eleanor. While living in Bastrop, Betty was a member of the Christ Episcopal Church. A wonderful provider and cook, she will be remembered as a loving and faithful wife, mother, Mimi, and sister. Mrs. Howard is survived by her four children, Gail Hester and husband Jerry of Mountain Home, AR, Paul Howard and wife Melissa of Chardon, OH, Ann Steinbeck of Cumming, GA and Lynn Bennett of Kingwood, TX; six grandchildren, Rachel Collins and husband Patrick, Joshua Howard and wife Marci, Jade Parks and husband Dustin, Taylor Bennett and partner Paige, Harrison Steinbeck and Symone Bennett and partner John; 11 great grandchildren Sean, Emma, Bailey, Haven, Adelynn, Joshua Paul, Ava, Weston, Andrew, Johanna and Carly; sister, Marjorie Tipton; brother-in-law Stan Howard; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. The family asks that any donations be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or The Raptor Resource Project.
