Mrs. Patricia “Pat” Conditt Stephens of Newport, Arkansas, departed this life on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at the age of 71. She was born March 21, 1950 in Leachville, the daughter of John B. and Elwanda “Polly” Wadley Conditt. Mrs. Stephens was a 1968 graduate of Tuckerman High School, and a member of Immanuel Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She had a beautiful voice, and was often asked to sing solos. Mrs. Stephens enjoyed chatting with family and friends, and preparing family meals on Sundays and holidays. She had a great sense of humor, an outgoing personality, and a huge heart. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald T. Stephens; one brother, Charles Homer “Choppie” Conditt; and her parents. She is survived by one son, Ronnie T. Stephens, Jr., and wife, Sheri of Conway; one daughter, Melanie Toan and husband, James of Newport; one brother, Wilfred “Mannie” Conditt of Newport; two sisters, Paulette White of Tuckerman ,and Sherry Doss and husband, Danny of Mountain View; five grandchildren, Dustin Stokes, Madison Stephens, Emma Stephens, Loftin Stokes, and Samuel Stephens. A family directed memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Chambers officiating. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Doss, Jr., Timothy Conditt, Billy Wadley, Jimmy Wadley, Dustin Stokes, Loftin Stokes, and Robert Lawson. Arrangements by Jackson’s Newport Funeral Home.
