Roberta F. Bonds

Roberta Frankie Bonds, 84, of Sayre, Oklahoma was born on September 14, 1937 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. She is the daughter of William Henry and Willie Ann (Bowman) Batchelor. She went to walk the golden streets of heaven on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Roberta married Gary Dale Bonds on October 12, 1958 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death after forty-five years of marriage on January 23, 2003. She enjoyed sewing, history, reading. She would spend hours studying the bible. Roberta was the family genealogist. She enjoyed learning about her family and the stories of them. Roberta loved her family, especially her grandchildren. She spent every minute that she could with them. Roberta will be remembered and greatly missed by her family and friends. Roberta accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior in her youth and was instrumental in leading her whole family to Christ. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 5, 2021 at First Baptist Church, Sayre, Oklahoma. Brother Pete Parker will officiate. Interment will be at Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to the care of Richard and Tammy Dugger and the staff of Martin-Dugger Funeral Home in Elk City, Oklahoma. Cherishing her memory is her three daughters, Jacqueline Parker and her husband, Phil of Weatherford, Oklahoma; Michelle Carter and her partner Mike Thomas of Sayre, Oklahoma; Denise Beard and her husband, Dale of Tecumseh, Oklahoma; nine grandchildren, Katie Rose and partner, Tyler Walker, Abbie Benavidez and husband, Aren, Adam Beard, Austin Beard and his wife, Alex, Chad Beard, Aaron Parker and his wife, Kaylee, Amy Biliske and her husband, Garrett, Alycia Parker, Brooklyn Parker, fifteen great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Bonds; parents, William and Willie Ann Batchelor; one grandson, Ben Carter; one son-in-law, Darren Carter; one sister, Fannie Gray; two brothers, Lonnie Batchelor and Charles Batchelor.
