<p>James &ldquo;Jim&rdquo; Eldon Scott of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on December 1, 2021, at the age of 64. Jim was born on January 24, 1957. A graduate of Watonga High School, Jim was employed at Hollytex Spinning Mill, making yarn for carpet. He medically retired after several years of dedicated service.</p> <p>Jim enjoyed a wide array of hobbies, including fishing, going to the lake, farming, and driving a tractor. He also enjoyed woodworking and crafts. He loved being outdoors and enjoyed going out to Lake Eufaula. Jim was an Oklahoma Sooners fan. He enjoyed watching Westerns, and he was a John Wayne fan as well. He enjoyed all the oldies, Andy Griffith, Gunsmoke, and Leave It to Beaver, however, his all-time favorite movie was McClintock! starring John Wayne.</p> <p>Jim was outgoing, and according to son JJ, was a constant comedian who could make anyone laugh. Eugene said his dad instilled in him and his brother that you never met a stranger, everyone in the world are simply friends you haven&rsquo;t met. Jim would help anyone in need, always the kind of guy who would give you the shirt right off his back.</p> <p>Jim loved it when the entire family were able to get together for a fish fry and a game of horseshoes. Jim was a loving father, brother, grandfather, father-in-law, and friend. The most important thing in Jim&rsquo;s life were his family and friends. His grandchildren absolutely lit up his life. Jim touched the lives of many with his outgoing personality and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.</p> <p>He was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Leo Scott. As well as two sisters, Georgie Murray, and Rosa Cook.</p> <p>Jim is survived by his sons, JJ Scott and wife Brooke of Cushing, Oklahoma, and Eugene Scott and wife Krista of Chandler; his six precious grandchildren, Addison, Abrey, Ainsley, Adley, Laine and Laityn; one brother, Tom Scott of Clinton, Oklahoma, and three sisters, Colleen Wickware, and Grace Creps, both of Watonga, Oklahoma, and Mary Grout of Fairview, Texas; in addition to many loved nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Public visitation will be held from 10:00am through 8:30pm on Friday, December 10, 2021, at the John M. Ireland &amp; Son Funeral Home &amp; Chapel, located at 120 South Broadway Avenue in Moore, Oklahoma.</p> <p>Services for Jim will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, located at 507 East Main Street in Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of John M. Ireland &amp; Son Funeral Home &amp; Chapel.</p>

James “Jim” Eldon Scott of Chandler, Oklahoma, passed away on December 1, 2021, at the age of 64. Jim was born on January 24, 1957. A graduate of Watonga High School, Jim was employed at Hollytex Spinning Mill, making yarn for carpet. He medically retired after several years of dedicated service.

Jim enjoyed a wide array of hobbies, including fishing, going to the lake, farming, and driving a tractor. He also enjoyed woodworking and crafts. Services for Jim will begin at 2:00pm on Saturday, December 11, 2021, at the Lynlee Mae Chapel, located at 507 East Main Street in Moore, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home & Chapel.
