Barbara J. Johnson (Spady), 75, of Pasco, Washington passed away on Sunday November 21, 2021 at Lourdes Medical Center in Pasco, WA. Barbara was born October 4, 1946 to Robert and Gladys (Moreland) Spady in Richland, Washington. She graduated from Richland High School in 1964. During her youth, she was very active in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Barbara married Ron Gouge on July 23, 1965. They had one son, Jeff. In 1975, Barbara met Mike Johnson and they were married on February 28, 1976. Mike had one son, Tony. In 1985 they had one son together, Shane. Mike and Barb lived together in the Tri-Cities area for over 30 years, primarily in Benton City. Barb worked for many years at Hanford including for the Hanford Patrol administration and various Hanford contractors before retiring. She enjoyed watching her children grow up and was very proud of their accomplishments throughout life. She was also an avid fan of the Mariners and Seahawks. Barbara enjoyed traveling with her husband and spending time together at Mike’s family ranch in Idaho. Mike preceded her in death in 2019 after 43 years of marriage. She is survived by sons, Jeff (Brook) Gouge of Issaquah, WA, Tony (Jody) Johnson of Post Falls, ID, and Shane (Cammi) Johnson of Pasco, WA; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Spencer Gouge, Jay (Christine) Johnson, Kyle (Susan) Johnson, Jakob (Kaleigh) Carpenter, Kyra Swearingen, and Theodore and Julian Johnson. She is also survived by her sister Marge (Emerson) Denney; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Barbara was preceded in death by her sisters Doris Wick (Spady) and Edna Mae Derting (Spady). A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Courtyard by Marriott Tri-Cities Airport Pasco, 2101 W. Argent, Pasco, WA 99301.
