Antonina "Lina" Lucente

Peacefully with her family by her side on Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Brantford General Hospital. Antonina, born January 29, 1929 in Pratola Peligna, Italy. Beloved wife for 69 years of the late Mario Lucente (2018). Loving mother to Raffaele and his wife Lorraine, Leo and his wife Jayne, Wally and his wife Carmen, and Mario Jr. and his wife Margaret (Peggy). Loving Nonna to Julie (Brian), Vince, Beth (Brett), Eric, Wally Jr. (Heather), Kassia (Anthony), Stephanie (Rodney), Kristyn (George), and Ryan. Great-Nonna to Wally Jr. Jr., Levon, Myles, Evelyn, Harper and George Jr. Jr. Predeceased by sister Nunzia Colaiacovo (2016). Fondly remembered by brother Michele (Laura) Colaiacovo and other family and many dear friends. Lina loved to garden and cook. She was always there for her children and was the matriarch to the family. Special thanks to the staff at Seasons Retirement Home for their kindness and care. Friends will be received at Toll Funeral Home, 55 Charing Cross Street, Brantford, on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 2-4:00 & 7-9:00p.m. All Covid -19 restrictions will be enforced and patrons will be required to show proof of vaccination to enter the premises. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Parish Church, 133 Murray Street, Brantford on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 10:30a.m. Entombment to follow at Our Lady of the Assumption Mausoleum, Holy Cross Cemetery.
