Janice Wanda (Anderson) Brechler 9/17/1935 - 11/22/2021 Longtime Arizona resident, 86-year old Janice Brechler, died peacefully at The Auberge at Peoria on November 22, 2021. Janice was born and raised in Humboldt County , Iowa; attended Goldfield High School and University of Northern Iowa, Teaching College. Although Janice spent most of her life in the Phoenix area, she left behind many beloved family, friends and memories from her life in Iowa. Janice married her college sweetheart, Ronald C. Brechler (Engineer, University of Iowa) from Hardy, Iowa and enjoyed a beautiful life together for over 59 years. Jan was a loving wife; a fun, silly, caring mother and grandmother; loyal friend; teacher; hiker; tennis player; avid golfer; gardener; lover of all things Arizona; and was actively involved in the North Phoenix community for many years. She was most happy being outside in the sun, enjoying time with her husband, laughing and sharing coffee with friends, giggling with her grandchildren and spending time with her children and their family. Jan was an unpretentious, Iowa farm girl who lived life to the fullest and will forever be known for her laughter, joy, love of life and happiness that she spread to those around her. Janice is loved and survived by her son, Chris Brechler of Minden, Nevada; daughter, Stacey Brechler-Knaggs of Flagstaff, Arizona; and, daughter, Erin Haluza of Evergreen, Colorado. She is also survived by five, cherished grandchildren -- Annelyse Brechler (30), Colleen Knaggs (28), Matthew Knaggs (20), Tyler Haluza (19), and, Camryn Haluza (18); in addition to adored sons-in-law and daughters-in-law. She is preceded in death and joined in heaven with her husband, Ronald C. Brechler. Also preceded in death are her parents Andrew and Christine, brothers Roger, Leland, Lemont (Alton) and sister Marilyn.
