Jesse W. Johnson

Jesse W. Johnson, 74, of Clarksburg, WV, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at the United Hospital Center in Bridgeport. He was born in Clarksburg on July 18, 1947, a son of the late Spurgeon Roy and Dorothy E. (Radcliff) Johnson. In addition to his parents Jesse was preceded in death by his wife, Louretta Jean (Board) Johnson. Jesse is survived by two children: daughter Traci L. Currey of Bridgeport and son Johnathan Johnson of Clarksburg; two granddaughters: Kendal Currey of Morgantown and Jessica Johnson of Ohio; one sister, Linda Rose of Hartville, Ohio; and one brother, Thomas Johnson of Clarksburg. Jesse was a truck driver and even after retiring worked part time transporting things. He loved to travel not just for work, but pleasure and some of his favorite places were going to the Amish Country and Gatlinburg, TN. He had many friends and enjoyed telling stories and making them laugh. Graveside services will be conducted on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 11am at Sunset Memorial Park.
