Robert Lewis Johnson Shreveport, LA Graveside services for Mr. Robert Lewis Johnson, age 94, of Shreveport, LA, will be held at 2:00 pm, Monday, December 6, 2021, at the Springhill Cemetery in Springhill, LA with Rev. Alicia Nichols officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held Sunday, December 5, 2021, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home in Springhill. Mr. Johnson was born on July 24, 1927 to Millard and Edla Gilliam-Johnson in Milwaukee, NC and passed away on Thursday, December 2, 2021 in Shreveport, LA. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and worked as an appliance repairman for Sears. After leaving Sears, he started Johnson Appliance Service until his retirement. He enjoyed fishing for bream, crappie, and catfish on Lake Erling. He is survived by his wife of 65 years Bessie Mills-Johnson of Shreveport, LA; two sons, William R Johnson of Shreveport, LA, James Gilliam of Mayport, FL; daughter, Martha Louise Kelley, and husband Russell of Green Cove Springs, FL; two granddaughters, Michelle Kelley, Julie Burton, and grandson, Steven Kelley all of Green Cove Springs, FL; as well as numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Johnson; and sisters, Gertrude Henry, and Jessie Mae Bryant.
