Pageland, SC

 

Mrs. Sarah Jean Haselden, age 72, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 2, 2021. A Celebration of Life Service will be 11:00 AM Monday, December 6, 2021 at Providence Baptist Church by Dr. Roger Wall and Pastor David Bridwell. The family will greet friends following the service at the church.

 

Due to COVID-19 regulations, our staff is committed to taking care of our guests and families that we serve. We also ask all guests and family members attending visitations and services to please continue social distancing and face coverings are strongly encouraged.

 

Mrs. Haselden was born January 26,1949 in Union County, NC a daughter of the late Hubert Horrace and Allie Lee Airington Hendrix. Sarah Jean will be remembered for her love of sewing, tootsie rolls, attending auctions, and yard sales. She enjoyed playing bingo and listening to the gospel groups that would come and play. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church. Sarah's favorite thing to do was to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haselden was also preceded in death by her sisters, Linda Wright and Katie Lee Thompson; brothers, Dicky Hendrix and Baby Boy Hendrix; and son in law, Michael “Mike” Johnson.

 

Survivors include her husband of 53 years, James Haselden of the home; daughters; Regina Johnson of Kershaw, SC, Rebecca “Becky” (Joe) Bradford of Bethune, SC, Karen (Chris) Rape of Pageland, SC; brothers, Jack (Sharon) Hendrix of Pageland, SC, Buddy (Carol) Hendrix of Pageland, SC, Mack (Deborah) Hendrix of Pageland, SC; grandchildren, Casey, Daniel (Savannah) Johnson, Katie Meade, and Michaela Johnson; great-grandchildren, Brookelyn and Jesse; in addition to numerous nieces and nephews.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to assist the family.

The family would like to thank Lancaster Health and Rehabilitation for the love and compassion shown to Mrs. Haselden and their family.
