Kathleen P. Smallenburg, age 75 of Albrightsville passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021 at her home. Kathleen was the loving wife of Richard E. Smallenburg Sr. They celebrated their 53rd Wedding Anniversary on September 7th. She was born in Bayonne, NJ on February 21, 1946, daughter of the late John M. & Mary (Sharkey) Ives. Kathleen had worked as a patient Counselor for Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia for 20 years until retiring. She and her sister were co-owners of Mountain Crafters in Albrightsville for 10 years, She served her community as an EMT at the Pennsauken 1st Aid Squad in Pennsauken, NJ . She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church in Lake Harmony. We have been blessed with the presence of Kathleen in our lives. She will be deeply missed by her husband: Richard, her children: Debbie O’Donnell and husband Terry of Collegeville, Richard E. Smallenburg Jr, of Albrightsville, William J. Smallenburg and wife Mary Kate of Maple Shade, NJ, son in law: Tom Apple of North Wales. She was the loving grandmother to her 14 grandchildren: William J. Smallenburg Jr., Grace M. Smallenburg, Richard E. Smallenburg III, Dominic P. Smallenburg, Regina M. Smallenburg, Bryson H. Smallenburg all of Maple Shade, NJ, Kaitlin F. Smith and husband Brad Smith of Pennsburg Aidan R. O’Donnell and Colin P. O’Donnell of Collegeville, Carlee A. Tew, Travis Sanders and Kelsey Sanders of Lantana, FL, Laura B. Apple and Thomas J. Apple of North Wales. She is also survived by her siblings: Jackie M. Ives of Albuquerque, NM, Joseph Ives and wife Sylvia of Florida, Dan Ives and wife Fran of Albrightsville and Marie Tew of Lantana, FL, nieces: Donna L. Sanders of Lantana, FL, Nina Gordon of Clementon, NJ, Rose Ives of Albuquerque, NM, Jen McCallister of Haddonfield, NJ; nephews: Michael Ives of Albuquerque, NM and Tim Gorski of Deptford, NJ. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Suzanne Apple A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am, Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at St. Peter the Fisherman in Lake Harmony. Family and friends are welcome to offer condolences on Monday, December 6, 2021 from 6-8 pm with vigil prayers at 7:30 pm at Gower Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 1426 Route 209, Gilbert, PA.
