Charles Ray Garner El Dorado, AR Funeral services for Mr. Charles Ray Garner, age 73, of El Dorado, AR, will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at Old Sarepta Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Todd Pickard officiating. Interment will follow in Old Sarepta Cemetery, Sarepta, LA under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA. Visitation will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm at Bailey Funeral Home. Mr. Garner was born on October 3, 1948 to Newt and Jewel Adcock Rogers and passed away on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 in Little Rock , AR. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was a press operator, working in plywood manufacturing. He was a fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, playing cards, specifically the game, "Kings on the Corner", and cars. He was a dreamer, who always had a new invention on his mind. Above all else, he loved his family and people. He is survived by two sons, Greg Allman of College Station, TX, Mark (Jennifer) Allman of El Dorado, AR; daughter, Candace Garner McDonald of Hooks, TX; three sisters, Shirley Umphries-Qualls of Ft. Worth, TX, Evelyn Rogers-Morgan of Minden, LA, Debbie Bickel of Crescent, TX; three granddaughters, Amanda Haltom, Heather Scruggs, Lauren Allman; seven grandsons, Colt Thompson, Phillip Allman, Jacob Elmore, Payton Allman, Chess Herndon, Joshua Elmore, Jaxon Garner Elmore; great-grandson, Brayden Buckner; two great-granddaughters, Evelyn Allman and Emmalyn Buckner; his special friend "Grammy"; and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his wife of 21 years, Bonnie Garner; his parents; a son, Chad Allman, and sister, Bobbie Foster. Pallbearers will be Colt Thompson, Jacob Elmore, Payton Allman, Joshua Elmore, Taylor Carathers, and Joseph Umphries. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxon Garner Elmore, Eddie Duncan, and Michael Martin. The family of Mr. Garner would like to express special thanks to the staff of Courtyard Rehabilitation in El Dorado, for their care and service.
