Michael C. Carroll, 43, of Columbus, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2021. Born in Trenton, Mike was a lifelong area resident. He was a graduate of Hamilton High School West, Class of 1996. Following graduation, Mike attended Mercer County Vocational School to pursue his passion for carpentry and construction, where he mastered his craft. He then followed his entrepreneurial dreams and founded Carroll Construction Company in 2004, a renowned business that served the entire Tri-State area. Mike built a reputation for quality and craftsmanship that is described by many as “perfect.” In addition to his work, there was nothing more important to Mike than his family and friends. There was nothing he wouldn’t do, no distance too far, to be there for those he loved — especially his children. His outward love for Cassidy and John was Mike as his authentic self. It was how he loved them that truly defines who he was. His lifelong love, Julie, inspired him to be the man that you all know today. The one whose smile lit up a room and whose generosity was experienced by all. Mike loved to travel, especially to the beach which later became his second home when he purchased a beach house in Surf City, LBI. This is where you would find him walking his dog, Mason, sporting his newest shades, and catching double-takes from everyone who crossed his path. Predeceased by his parents, Michael C. Carroll, Sr. and Michael and June Vandegrift; he is survived by his wife, Julie A. Stubbs Carroll of Columbus; his children, Cassidy L. and John A. Carroll, both of Columbus; his beloved goldendoodle, Mason; and many loving family members and friends. A viewing for immediate family and close friends will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, starting at 9:15 a.m. Following is a Mass of Christian Burial that is open to all and will begin at 10:30 a.m. All events will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s R.C. Church, 3500 Broad Street, Hamilton, NJ. Interment will follow at Colonial Memorial Park in Hamilton, NJ.
