Emelita Robles Gonzales

Emelita Gonzales passed peacefully from this life on Thanksgiving, November 25th, 2021 in Anchorage, Alaska. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during the last days of her life. Emelita was born in Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines. She moved to Kodiak, AK in the year of 1979 and then relocated to Anchorage, AK in 1984. Emelita was truly the life of the party. She radiated an undeniable happiness everywhere she went. She was fiercely protective when it came to her family and loved ones. Emelita expressed her love through her cooking and servitude to those she cherished. Emelita is survived by her lifelong partner, John Lewi; her children, Amanda Balmaceda, Ronalee Mason, Jazzmine Nabong, Alkebu Lewis, Tamisha Lewis, Kamisha Lewis, Devion Lewis, Tamika Lewis, Lloyd Nabong, Reynaldo Nabong Jr., and Haynslee Nabong. Emelita is also survived by her brothers Jerome Gonzales, Hans Christian Gonzales, Jonas Gonzales and sister Maria Christine Gonzales; mother Andresa Robles; and by her many grandchildren. A visitation will be held Saturday, December 4th, 10am-12noon at Janssen’s Evergreen Memorial Chapel, 737 E Street, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501. A service will follow from 12noon-1:30pm. A celebration of life will take place after the service at Bahay Kubo Restaurant, 2pm, 3020 Minnesota Dr Ste.13, Anchorage, AK, 99503. Emelita will be laid to rest Monday, December 6th, 10am at the Anchorage Memorial Park Cemetery, 535 E 9th Avenue, Anchorage, Alaska, 99501.
