Thomas Benjamin Jackson Obituary

Chef Thomas B. Jackson “BigJack”, loving husband, dad, grandpa “Papa”, brother and uncle passed away at home on November 29, 2021.  He was born on October 8, 1933 to James and Carrie Barney Jackson in Liberty, Mississippi.

Food was his passion.  Leading by example was how he led his life, faith in the Lord and always willing to give the shirt off his back to help.  We love you and will cherish the memories.  He will forever live in our hearts.

He is survived by his wife Christina Jackson, sons; Gregory (Geneva) Jackson, Anthony (Becky) Jackson, daughters; Chanal Brown Caine, Julie (Carlo) Jackson-Lark, Michelle Jackson-Lark.  His cherished grandchildren; Kelvin Jr. Gregory Jr., Latesia, Sierra, Brittnee, Payton, Kianna, Kai, Chloe, Devaughn, Tyler and Felerios Jr.; 13 great-grandchildren,  his brother Andrew (Alberta) Jackson, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nephew who he loved.

He is preceded in death and joyful reunion with his parents James and Carrie Jackson, son Kelvin (Gwenlyon) Jackson, eight brothers; Tommie, Harry, Sammy, Henry, Robert, Pohatten, Frank and Smiley.  Seven sisters; Minnie, Bessie, Mary, Martha “PeeWee”, Margret, OraLee and Lannis.

Services will be short and sweet as he would have wished.  A viewing will be Monday, December 6, 2021, 11:00 am – 12:00 pm, at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.  Graveside services will follow at 1:00 pm, Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.

Thomas’ viewing will be livestreamed.  To watch, scroll to the bottom of Thomas’ obituary on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 11:00 am, www.myers-mortuary.com.  If unable to watch at this time the service will be on Myers Mortuary website indefinitely.
