<p>Janice Elaine (Welch), 71, passed away on Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, at home surrounded by family. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, December 3rd, 2021, at Potts Chapel at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday evening, 5:00-7:00pm.</p> <p>Janice Elaine Golden was born on August 28th, 1950, in Independence, Kansas. She was the daughter of Louise (Andres) and Howard Welch.</p> <p>Jan enjoyed working at her sister and nephew’s restaurants and visiting casinos. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p> <p>She married Richard Nickle. Together they had four children. They later divorced. She then married Robert Golden and had 2 more children and they made their home in Independence.</p> <p>Those left to cherish her memory are her husband Robert, children: Richie (Tina) Nickle, Ronnie Nickle, Valerie Nickle, Cindy (Casey) Holt, Kevin (Jacque) Golden and Shaun (Kember) Golden, siblings: Judy Johnson, Lonnie Andres, Linda Tucker and Betty Kinsey, 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Preceding her in death were her parents, sister Betty Leah, brothers: Leeland Andres, Vernon Shaffer, Larry Andres, grandson Chase Holt and best friend Marilyn Kettleman.</p>Obituary
