Fred Ferrall, 78, of Maynard, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday December 1, 2021, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehab Center. Fred was born on Saturday, April 3, 1943, in Colton, California, to Manuel and Florence Martinez Ferrall. Fred retired from the United States Army in which time he served four tours of duty in Vietnam and Korea. During this time, he was awarded many decorations, including a Bronze Star, the Vietnam Service Medal with four Bronze Stars, and the Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm. Fred lived in Maynard for forty years and enjoyed building Mopar Hot Rods. Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Florence; son Robert Ferrall; brother, Bob Ferrall; and sisters, June Gast and Elsie Ferrall. Fred is survived by his son, Lonnie (Angela) Shirley of, Fayetteville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Mercedes, Destiny, Tyler, and Christian; great grandchildren, Zadie and Eli; great great grandson, Michael; nephew, Troy Randolph; niece, Joy Randolph; and special friends, Frank and Beth Randolph. Cremation was chosen as the method of final disposition. Fred’s family will hold a Celebration of Life at a later date, in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
