Leo P. Legrand, beloved son, husband, father and papa was taken unexpectedly from us on Sunday morning January 22, 2017. Leo worked as a heavy equipment operator for Ralph Russin, John Leo, and most recently, the past 24 years for the City of Burlington Water Department. He leaves behind his loving mother Gladys Legrand, his wife Margaret (Peggy) Legrand of 43 years, his son Adam M. Legrand and partner Stacy King, daughter Bridget Legrand and her partner Dane McGrath and his only grandson Kaden Demar (his little man). Leo also leaves behind three brothers and one sister along with many brother in laws and sister in laws, several nieces and nephews. Leo was predeceased by his father Marcel Legrand in 1998. Calling hours will be held on Thursday January 26, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 PM at the Ready Funeral Home and Cremation Services Mountain View Chapel 68 Pinecrest Dr. Essex Jct. VT with a service to begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will take place at 12:00 (noon) Friday January 27, 2017 at Resurrection Park, Hinesburg Rd. South Burlington. There will also be a celebration of Leo's life at the American Legion Post 91 in Colchester on Saturday January 28, 2017 at 5:00 PM, all are welcome to attend.
