Loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and Great grandfather Joseph J. Pilla, 77, of Belleville, passed away on November 30, 2021. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, he moved to Belleville 34 years ago. Joseph was the son of the late Lazaro and Mary (Vitale) Pilla. He is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Atkinson), his children, Thomas Dzuna, Kim Fortunato and her husband David, Joseph Pilla and his wife Donna, Tara Lorenz and her husband Scott and Dana Pilla, as well as eight grandchildren, Tori and Jada Fortunato, Taylor Pilla, Jared and Sage Patrick, Addison, Mason, and Ellie Delia, and one great grandson Giovanni Maldonado. Joseph was a Veteran, in the US Army, serving in the Vietnam War, he retired as an IT manager for National Prescription Administrators, Inc., East Hanover, NJ. Joseph loved boating and was an avid fisherman. He was the Past Commander and the first President of the Vietnam Veterans Association (VAA). Visitation will be Friday December 3, 2021, from 5-9pm at S. W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre Street Nutley, NJ. Military honors will be conduced at 8:30pm.
