Linda "Mema" S. Williamson Obituary

Loving Wife, Mother, Sister and Grandmother Linda S. Williamson “Mema”, 74, of Clifton, passed away on December 1, 2021. Born in Washington, D.C., she lived in Bloomfield, prior to moving to Clifton 27 years ago. Linda was a graduate of William Paterson University and retired as a technology teacher with the Bloomfield Board of Education where she taught for over 25 years. She was an active member of the Pequannock Women’s Golf League holding office as President and Secretary over the years. Linda and her husband also gave back to their community through St. Clare's Church as eucharistic ministers. She enjoyed her lunches and Broadway shows with dear friends and playing Canasta and Mahjong with “the girls”. Mema’s grandchildren were her pride and joy. Her happiest times were spent with her grandchildren; cheering them on during their sporting events and activities, holidays, relaxing by the pool and vacations at the Jersey Shore. She was the daughter of the late William Stanley. She leaves behind her mother Ruth (Hodson) Stanley, her loving husband of 53 years, Paul Williamson, daughters Dawn Miller, and Tracy Barbato, and her husband James, sister Jody Walsh and her husband Patrick, beloved grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas Miller, and Justin and Cassi Barbato. The funeral will be on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 9:00am from the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, (www.swbrownandson.com), 267 Centre St., Nutley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Clare Church, 69 Allwood Road, Clifton, NJ on Saturday, December 4, 2021, at 10:00am (saintclarenj.com) The interment will follow at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Montclair, NJ Visitors will be received at the funeral home on Friday, December 3, 2021, from 4-8pm In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to John Theurer Cancer Center, (www.hackensackumc.org/services/cancer-care)
