<p>A long time dedicated member of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Barbara Hartman fell asleep in death on November 6, 2021 while residing for a short time at Lakeview Assisted Living residence.</p> <p>Barbara was born in Chicago on July 9, 1948 to Joe and Catherine Ries who had immigrated from Poland. Her parents and all of her siblings preceded her in death, Barbara being the youngest. She is survived by a niece, Stacy Hiera, who lives in Tennessee. Barbara eventually moved to Los Angeles, CA, and then to Oregon. Her last residence of many years had been in Toledo. Barbara retired from several years of work at Fred Meyer. She will be remembered as a quiet person who loved animals, enjoyed her ministry, loved to read, and wanted the best care for all of Jehovah’s creation.</p>Obituary
