On Tuesday, November 23, 2021, Sandy Mellor, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at age 82.

Sandy was born on June 15, 1939 in Windsor, MO to James and Helen (Griffith) Mantonya. She graduated high school from La Puente High in La Puente, California in 1956, and was a secretary for the Kings County Superintendent of Schools for many years. On November 25, 1956, she married John Dale Mellor. They raised two sons, Tom and Steve.

Sandy greatly enjoyed serving her family, church family, and friends in any way she could. She enjoyed attending church and Bible studies, and she loved spending one month out of nearly every year on the island of Kauai with Dale, often being visited by friends and family while there. She and Dale also enjoyed spending time with their sons and their families at various times throughout the years. Sandy loved to go on cruises with friends and family. She and her husband, Dale, have generously supported many special ministries, seeking to bless others as they have also been blessed.     

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, James, and her mother, Helen. She is survived by her husband John, her two children, Tom and daughter-in-law Lisa, and Steve and daughter-in-law Marian, her brother Mike and sister-in-law Chantal, and four grandchildren, and one great grandson. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 11th, 2021 at Trinity Bible Church in Sun City West at 10 o’clock a.m. Cards may be sent to Dale Mellor c/o Steve Mellor, P.O.
