Podracky, Mark Anthony, age 69 of Rochester Hills, passed away November 30, 2021. Loving husband of the late Lynn Podracky, dear father of Mariel (Anthony) Bouza, brother of Elaine (Wallace) Gemignani, Lynda (the late Jack) Delaney, the late Theresa (the late Thomas) Boyer and the late Patrice DeHaven, son of the late Stella and Anthony Podracky. Son-in-law to Eugene and Irene Kowal and brother-in-law to David (Viktoria) Kowal. Uncle to the late Karen (Ed) Long, Gina (Michael) Flood, Marty Boyer, Rick Boyer and Peter DeHaven. Also survived by numerous loving cousins. Born in Detroit, MI in 1952, Mark was constantly surrounded by loving family and friends. He thought the world of his parents, sisters, and brothers-in-law. Growing up Mark loved to swim, play football and ski. He attended Saint Alphonsus in Dearborn, MI and went on to attend Wayne State University to study Engineering Technology. He graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Manufacturing/Industrial). Mark married his late wife Lynn on October 19, 1978. After getting married, they moved for Mark’s job down to Dallas, TX and then Houston, TX, where they lived for close to five years. Moving back to Michigan, Mark and Lynn had their only child Mariel in 1990, who they raised together in Rochester Hills, MI. Mark continued to work in Automotive Sales and was a landlord alongside Lynn for 30 years. Mark was a skilled carpenter and loved building things with his hands. He enjoyed a good steak and a slice of pizza. He was a die-hard Detroit Lions fan and loved complaining about how bad the team was doing. He had a love for animals, dogs especially and loved spending time with his furry grand dog Ari. He was known for his mischievous smile and enjoyed making jokes. Mark will surely be missed by all those who knew him but he will forever live on in our hearts. Memorial Mass, Saturday, December 11, 2021, 11:00 am at St. Mary of the Hills Catholic Church, 2675 John R. Road, Rochester Hills. The family will receive friends at the church 10:00 am until time of Mass.
