Melissa Ann Peck Stiltner

Melissa Ann Peck Stiltner, 48 years of age of Oakwood, VA, passed away Monday, November 29, 2021 at Clinch Valley Medical Center. Born February 17, 1973 in Grundy, VA, she was the daughter of Phyllis Ann Wells Peck of Grundy, VA, and the late Charlie Junior Peck. Melissa was a 1991 graduate of Grundy Senior High School, was formerly employed as a Pharmacy Technician at Family Drug. She enjoyed camping, shopping, traveling, spending time with her nieces and nephews. Melissa was full of life and family oriented and of the Christian faith. A loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her nephew John Anthony Mullins. Survivors in addition to her mother Phyllis Ann Wells Peck include her loving husband of four years Anthony “Tony” Scotty Stiltner of Oakwood, VA; sons Justin Tyler Nickles and fiancé Megan Lillian Grace Woodard of Oakwood, VA, Cory Thomas Nickles of Oakwood, VA; step-son Anthony Scott Stiltner, Jr., and wife Kris of TN; one sister, Rebecca (John) Mullins of N. Tazewell, VA; and two brothers, David (Selena) Peck of Grundy, VA and Brian (Michelle) Peck of Big Rock, VA. She is also survived by six step grandchildren, Grayson, Cayleigh, Chloe, London, Maci and Isiah; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews; and her canine baby Dutchess. Funeral services for Melissa Ann Peck Stiltner will be conducted on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Poplar Creek Church of Christ in Grundy, VA with Pastor David Lowe, Evg. Bill Cook, Pastor Eddie Wilson, and Pastor Andy Presley officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain Valley Memorial Park of Big Rock, VA. Active pallbearers will be her nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be her great nieces and nephews, the ICU nursing staff of Clinch Valley Medical Center, Jeannie Childress and her special friend Della Easterling. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday, December 1st and Thursday, December 2nd evening beginning at 6:00 p.m. with evening services to begin at 7:00 p.m. both evenings.
