Barbara Jean Smith Freeman, age 84, of Jefferson Hills, formerly of West Mifflin, went to be with her Lord and Savior on November 28, 2021.
Wife of 32 years to the late James Edgar Freeman. Mother of Semira Elizabeth Rose of New York, Barbara (JT) Louise Freeman Wright of West Mifflin, and Donna Marie (Dan) Prestia of Florida. Grandmother to four grandsons, Lee Thompson, Jordan Thompson, Jamar Torres, Sidney James Prestia, and two great-grandchildren, Royyale Thompson and Jayden Thompson. Also survived by her siblings, Eva (Clarence) Williams of Colorado, Vera (David) Perry Burkes of Monroeville, Bhavananda (Jan Jaap) Lodkey-Dekker of California, Joseph Lodkey of California, and Doris Eleanor Lodkey of Monroeville, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Otis Smith and Birdie Mae Lodkey, and her twin daughters, Denise Freeman and Debbie Freeman, sister Marilyn Wood Baldwin and brother Charles S. Lodkey.
Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, December 10, 2021, 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm at the JEFFERSON MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, INC., 301 Curry Hollow Rd., Pleasant Hills, 15236. A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be shared at www.jeffersonmemorial.com.
