Benjamin Franklin Wolfe Obituary

Benjamin Franklin Wolfe, 82, of Rockwell passed away on November 12 at Brightmoor Nursing Center in Salisbury after a period of declining health. He was born on November 10, 1933 in Ross County, Ohio a son of the late Merle Edward Wolfe and the late Elizabeth Jane Jones Wolfe. He was a 1952 graduate of Kingston High School. After serving in the U.S. Army where he served as a Paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg, NC, he worked in maintenance with DuPont Mylar Company until his retirement after 32 years. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Keller Memorial Masonic Lodge, Rockwell and Logan Elm Masonic Lodge in Kingston, OH where he was Past Master. He was also a member of the Rowan Shrine Club. He was Past Patron of Rockwell Chapter of Eastern Star. He also held many other positions in the chapter. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers; Charles Herbert Wolfe, Jack Edward Wolfe and Jimmie Dale Wolfe and sister; Judith W. Dye of Chillicothe, OH. Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Janice Hammond Wolfe, who he married on June 7, 1957. A son; David Franklin Wolfe of Faith. He is also survived by Grandson; Justin Wolfe and wife Deann and Granddaughter; Ashley Lynn Wolfe. Great-grandson; Garon Bailey Wolfe. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 16 at 2:00PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church with the Rev. Bruce Sheeks officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00pm 2:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery with military honors provided by the Rowan County Honor Guard and the North Carolina Army National Guard. Masonic graveside rites by Keller Memorial Masonic Lodge of Rockwell.
