Charlotte Ann Ellison

Charlotte Ann Ellison, 72 of Beckley went home to be with her Heavenly Father on November 28, 2021. She was born on March 4, 1949 in Ghent, WV to the late Overton Settle and Dorothy Jewell.

Charlotte was a homemaker and owner of National Integrity Tax Service and also a member of the Cranberry Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Anna Mae McKay; nephew James Foster; a grandson Lonnie Caldwell; and her very special fur baby Rocket.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 34 years Jerry Ellison; children Russell Lilly Jr. and his wife Sherda of Atlanta, GA, Bobby Lilly of Beckley, WV, Ruth “Sissy” Caldwell and her husband David of White Oak, WV, Crystal Massey and her husband Davey of Maple Fork, WV, Michael Ellison and his wife Lowanna of Pax, WV, David Ellison and his wife Pam of Minnesota, and Doug Ellison of Beckley, WV; brother Overton “Gene” Settle and his wife Loewanna “Kay” Settle of Beckley, WV; sister Carol German of Delaware; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews; and a special friend Sheila Blake.

Charlotte’s most favorite thing to do was to watch tv while holding husband’s hand.  She also loved going to Goodwill to find great deals with her daughters.  There was a family inside joke that no matter what happened, it was always known to be “Derek’s Fault!”

The family will receive friends for visitation from 2 pm – 4 pm with a funeral service at 4 pm at the Melton Mortuary and Cremation Center Chapel with Pastor Roger Pauley officiating. Entombment will be held privately on Friday at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

For those who will not be able to attend in person services, the Funeral Service will be available for viewing via Melton Mortuary Facebook Live beginning at 4 pm.
