Stephen W. Scott Cuba, Missouri Obituary

Stephen W. Scott

Stephen W. “Steve” Scott of Sullivan, Missouri was born on Thursday, September 29, 1977, in Fontana, California to the union of Ronald L. and Margaret A. (Dugo) Scott. He left from this life suddenly on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at Missouri Baptist Hospital in Sullivan at the age of 44 years. Steve worked at Sullivan Precision Metal Finishing since 2017. Steve was a guitar enthusiast and music was in his soul. If you were around Steve, you knew he liked to beat out the bass and was the proud owner of some heavy sounding amps that he loved to plug into and rock out. He played in several bands and was known to perform in local venues to the delight of family and friends. But one of his all-time favorites was getting together with a good jam session with his dad and uncles along with other family and friends. Steve could unwind and kick back to watch some sports, but the most treasured moments his family will miss is simply spending time with Steve. Each time they hear his music they’ll hear the heartbeat of Steve. Steve is preceded in death by his grandparents Clifford and Beatrice Scott, Bernard Dugo and Ruth Schoeneman; one Cousin James D. Scott. Those who are left to treasure his memory and to continue his legacy are his loving parents Ronald L. and Margaret “Peggy” Scott of Cuba; one brother Brian Scott and fiancé Crystal Bouse of Sullivan; one sister Linda and husband Jacob Richardson of Tampa, Florida; nieces and nephews Ronnie and Thomas Myers, Jason Burnell, Heather Burrows and Thomas Bouse; aunts and uncles Barbara and husband Mohammad Abbasss Ali of Santa Barbara, California, James Eldon and wife Donna Scott of Cuba, Missouri, Darrel Glen Scott of Bourbon, Missouri, Erma and husband Tom Wideman of St. Clair, Missouri, Eileen Scott and significant other Terry Voidanoff of Berryman, Missouri, Janet and husband Pete Duffy of Sullivan, Missouri, Bert Douglas and wife Carrie Scott of Cuba, Missouri, Linda Ann and husband Darren Dotson of Leasburg, Missouri, David Wayne Scott and significant other Julie Burgess of Cuba, Missouri; several cousins and many friends. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 5-8 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home 904 W. Washington St. Cuba, Missouri. Funeral Service will be Friday, December 3, 2021, 1:00 p.m. at Mizell Funeral Home with Pastor Keith Bailey, Sr. Interment will follow at Lick Creek Cemetery, Cuba, Missouri. The Mizell Funeral Home of Cuba is honored to be serving the Scott family.
