William Bruce ‘Bill’ Gibson, age 66, went to be with his heavenly father on November 27, 2021. He was a great man and friend, as well as a great security guard and protector of all. Bill put a smile on people’s faces in the worst of times. He loved doing karaoke with his nephew Lyle Gibson and his wife Tammy. Bill enjoyed trips on his Goldwing Motorcycle with his long-time buddy Charlie Wakeman and enjoyed spending his time with his cats Dinky and Scooter.
Bill is survived by his nephew, Lyle (Tammy) Gibson; girlfriend, Raiann Lucas; sister, Teresa (Charlie) Wakeman; sisters-in-law, Melody Coldwell, Raylene (Jim) Horn, Claudia (Bruce) Dill; mother-in-law, Virginia Young; nieces, Alaura Coldwell, Crystal Gibson, and Ashley Caspers; nephews, Chas Wakeman and Alex (Paige) Coldwell; cousins, Bob and Jerry Rose and family; great nephews, Jameson Coldwell and Dallas Gibson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Robin Gibson; mother and father, Paul and Mildred (Reese) Gibson; brother, Everett Lee Gibson; nieces Susan Gibson and Rachel Wakeman; and nephew, Michael Dill.
Funeral services will take place at 7 p.m. Friday, December 3, 2021, from the Ware Smith Woolever Funeral Chapel, 1200 West Wheeler Street, with Pastor Roger Stauffer officiating. Bill’s family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider Bill’s family.
