Margarita Serrano Lopez

STONEVILLE – Margarita Serrano Lopez, 84, died on Friday, November 26, 2021 at UNC Rockingham Health Care in Eden. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Ridge View Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:45 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Margarita was born in Mexico on June 10, 1937 to the late Ventura Lopez Renteria and Remedios Zarate Luna. She enjoyed spending time with her family and going to church and worshipping her God until her last day. Her hobbies included cooking when her health allowed and planting and nurturing her flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her children, Jose Serrano, Felicitas Serrano and Guadalupe Serrano. Survivors include her husband, Trindad Serrano Capulin; children, Carmen Serrano, Martha Serrano, Ruben Serrano, Luz Maria Serrano, Martin Serrano, Juan Serrano, Miguel Serrano, Jose Luis Serrano and Veronica Serrano; thirty-one grandchildren and forty great-grandchildren.
