Helen Lacko, age 72, of Sayreville, passed away on November 29, 2021 peacefully at home in Sayreville with her loving family by her side. Born in Newark she resided in Carteret before moving to Sayreville. Before her retirement Helen worked as a Bookkeeper for Carteret Die Casting. She loved nothing more than being with her family. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. Helen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and so much more. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She is predeceased by her parents Joseph A. & Helen M. Dapsis as well as her brother Stephen A. Dapsis. She is survived by her beloved husband of 48 years John Lacko, as well as her much loved children John B. Lacko, Stephen J. Lacko & Joshua A. Lacko, her adored granddaughters Angelica, Noel, Isabela and Olivia, her very loved siblings and their spouses Joseph W. & Susan Dapsis and Robert & Dadie Dapsis and a host of other relatives who will miss her dearly. Funeral services will be Saturday 9:30am from the Maliszewski Memorial Home 121 Main St, Sayreville with a 10am Mass at Our Lady of Victories Church in Sayreville. An inurnment will take place at St. Gertrude’s Cemetery in Colonia at a later date. Calling hours at the funeral home will be Friday from 4pm to 8pm.
