Kevin Young entered into rest on Sunday, November 21, 2021. He was born to Hilda Narcisse-Young and the late Irvin Peter Young Sr. Kevin was blessed with one son, John Barra whom he loved and cherished. Kevin was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. He attended George Washington Carver Senior High School. Kevin loved the Lord, he was a realist and an encourager. He was always willing and ready to lend a helping hand and/or share words of encouragement. Kevin enjoyed spending time with his family, talking on the phone, eating, and watching TV. Kevin leaves to cherish his memories his mother-Hilda Young, son-John Barra, three sisters, Denise Y. Williams, Pearlie Y. L’Herisse, and Sandra Y. Perry (Mark Perry) one brother - Irvin Young Jr., father figure friend – Chris Austin, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces & nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his father - Irvin P. Young Sr., four sisters, Deborah Narcisse, Brenda N. Evans, Barbara Bounds, and Wanda Young-Thornton, one nephew - James Michael Williams Jr., one niece Demetrice B. Baez, and one great niece Derionen London. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 10:00am at Majestic Mortuary 1833 Oretha C. Haley Blvd. NOLA 70113. Visitation will begin at 9:00am. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Park. Due to COVID-19, everyone attending is required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing. Gatherings will be limited (No Exceptions).
