<p>Sheila Jernigan Sweet, beloved daughter of the late Bill and Mary Jernigan passed away November 26, 2021 at Westwood Nursing Home after a courageous battle with MS for over 40 years. She was also preceded in death by her brother Keith Jernigan.</p> <p>She is survived by her son Shane Sweet of Augusta, her brother Butch (Santalee) Jernigan of Evans, her niece Tara (Todd) Andrews of Evans, and her nephews Tres (Lindsay) Jernigan of Carrollton, GA, and Donnie Jernigan of Twin City, GA.</p> <p>Sheila&rsquo;s passions were her family, being a buyer for Cullum&rsquo;s Department Store, a love for Tennessee Walking horses, the Braves, Alabama football, and speaking French.</p> <p>To know Sheila&nbsp;was to love her. Even battling MS she maintained that vibrant smile and sense of humor. She welcomed everyone with a smile and ended every visit with some off the wall statement that had you laughing as you left the room.</p> <p>Sheila was a classy and sophisticated lady and would want everyone to remember her as she was in those early years of her life. After careful consideration of Sheila&rsquo;s wishes, the family decided to hold a private memorial service at a future date.</p> <p>It was always Sheila&rsquo;s wishes in lieu of visitations and flowers that contributions to made in her honor to National Multiple Sclerosis Society. www.nationalmssociety.org</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>
