Rocky Jerome Gordy, 55, of Woodbury passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021. Funeral services will be 3:00 pm, Friday, December 3, 2021 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, Manchester with Rev. Scotty Fowler officiating. Interment will follow in Meriwether Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Rocky was born November 24, 1966 in Warm Springs, the son of Jimmy Jerome Gordy and Mary Frances Stitcher Gordy. He graduated from Woodbury High School and then worked for Blackmon Oil for a few years. He then took a position with Winpak and worked there 35 years. Rocky enjoyed fishing, especially at Lake Meriwether. More than anything; however, he loved his family. Rocky was preceded in death by his wife, Jody Fowler Gordy, his father, Jimmy Jerome Gordy and his sister, Tara Gordy. Survivors include his mother, Frances Phillips of Woodbury; his daughter, Tonya Brawner and her husband, Lamar of Woodbury; two sons, Riley Gordy and Scott Gordy of Woodbury; one sister, Crystal Addington of Woodbury; three brothers, Jack Gordy and his wife Jamie of Warm Springs, John Gordy of Woodbury, Lee Brown and his wife, Jana of Woodbury; five grandchildren, Abigayle Gordy, Skylar Gordy, Trent Brawner, Taryn Brawner, Eli Brawner and twelve nieces and nephews.
