Bonnie Shields, age 83, died peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her daughter and grandchildren on Sunday, November 28, 2021 in Edgewood, Ky. Visitation will be from 11am to 1pm, followed by a service at 1pm on Friday, December 3, 2021 at Stith Funeral Home in Florence, Ky. Burial immediately following at Richwood Presbyterian Cemetery. Bonnie was born at home on March 10th 1938 in Richwood, Ky and loved her childhood growing up there. She graduated from Boone County High School in 1956 and went on to work for her parents at the little General Store in Richwood before working at BAWAC for 46 years. Bonnie was a Kentucky Colonel and member of Richwood Presbyterian Church. She loved her family above all and was known for giving the best hugs and always reminding you to buckle your seatbelt. Famously indecisive, she loved to travel, never passed up a gift shop, was always quick to laugh, and was usually giving out winks and hand squeezes to anyone around. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Gaines and Opal Robinson, son, Steve Shields, and older brothers, G.L. Robinson, and Bob Robinson. She leaves behind her brother, Sam (Pam) Robinson, daughters, Sandy Shields, and Stephanie Adkins, grandchildren, Lauren (Jordan) Smith, Emily Adkins, Spencer Adkins, and great grandchildren, Everett Smith, and Hazel Smith. She is loved to the moon and back. Memorial donations may be given to BAWAC.
