Lugene Young Brown, 82 of LaGrange, GA, formerly of Woodbury, GA died Sunday, November 28, 2021, at Florence Hand Home in LaGrange, GA. Mrs. Brown was born October 10, 1939, in Woodbury, GA the daughter of Joel E. Young, Sr. and Lennie Lee Waller Young. She retired as an executive secretary from Nabisco, Inc. in Woodbury, GA. While living in Woodbury she was a member of the Woodbury United Methodist Church. Once she moved to LaGrange, she attended Sovereign Grace Church in LaGrange and was an active member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church Bible Study Group at Florence Hand. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 53 years Bobby R. Brown, brothers Joel E. Young, Jr., Weyman Young, and Gary Young. She is survived her daughter Gayle (Joey) Hall of LaGrange, GA and son Tim (Angel) Brown of Thomaston, GA, grandchildren and their spouses Zach (Anna) Hall, Chase (Leora) Hall all of LaGrange, Cait (Jamie) Braswell of Dublin, GA, Abby (Jonathon) McCard of Milner, GA, Thomas Brown of Birmingham, AL. Great-grandchildren Charlotte Hall, Jemma Hall, Judah Hall, Lily Belle Braswell, Jase Braswell, Everlie McCard, Camilla Hall, sister Norene Cope of Troy, AL, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Donnie and Jean Brown, Jerry and Diane Brown all of Woodbury, GA, Marie Brown of Thomaston, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mrs. Lugene Brown will be held 11:00 am Wednesday, December 1, 2021, at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home, 93 Prather Barnes Road, Manchester, GA 31816. Interment will follow in the Woodbury City Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
